Colombia Today: Reality, Culture & History

“To understand the present, we must first embrace the memories that brought us here.”

This section was born from a conversation with my Colombian wife. We were looking for a name to define this space, and while Mundo Colombia was my initial choice, Colombia Today ultimately won for its strength and relevance.

Since then, it has become a genuine corner to analyze the current events of Colombia Today: from politics and viral news to social movements and daily challenges. It’s a sincere chat, like the ones that happen in any Colombian living room with a tinto (coffee) in hand.

In this space, we don’t just talk about the present. To truly grasp the reality of Colombia Today, we revisit key moments from the past: historic leaders, shifts in customs, and the evolution of a nation that always finds a way to rewrite its course.
